Does anyone know of a good gardening web site where I can find a list of what kind of plants and vegtables to plant and when to plant them ? I have for some unknown reason been bitten by the “bug” and am chomping at the bit to give it a try… I used to really enjoy working in my familys flower and vegtable garden when I was a child.

I would like to have some kind of plants or flowers to grow most of the year…as far as the vegtable garden I was thinking along the lines of the more basic items…corn, tomatoes, squash, beans, melons..things like that, but things i could grown and tend to throughout the year.
I know that this may seem like a big question, but I really think I can do this…grow things I mean.
Any advice ya’ll could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Michael

A better idea would be to pop into your local garden centre and ask there. They will have a good knowledge of local soil and weather conditions, and will stock plants that are good for your area.

You can do a search for your local agricultural extension office. They usually have loads of info. congrats on being bitten my the gardening bug. airn’t dirt grand? I’d be happy to share flower seeds with you. E me if you’d like a list of what I have. Cousin and I are trying to get together a seed sharing online group.
