I have some experience working with flowers and have planted for friends but now have an opportunity to do some contract work and have no idea what to charge. Any suggestions would be great.

Wild guess is $20.00 an hour. I just came in from doing yard work-mowing lawn,weeding,sweeping,picking up garbage, minor plant transplants. It’s hard,hard work and people don’t realize it. Think hard about it and Don’t be taken advantage of because people will catch you off guard and ask for more than planting flowers. Have fun. Remember to take all into consideration like: Prep. work, travel expense, time purchasing flowers,plants,etc. heavy lifting of potting soils, planters, mulch,stakes if needed, borders (usually scalloped bricks,etc.) I speak from 10 years of personal experience. $15.00-$20.00 is not unreasonable. Hope I didn’t overwhelm you.
