A perenial flower comes back yearly and a annual only grows for that years

An annual is something that you have to replant every year although a lot of annuals will reseed, marigolds for instance. Perennials on the other hand come back year after year and don’t need to be replanted.

Annuals only live a single season - generally the brighter flowers - geraniums, marigolds, begonias, petunias.

Perrenials come back year after year - they often times spread/get bigger - salvia is a colorful choice.

Best of luck to you - go make your piece of the planet pretty!!

Annual flowers only last for 1 season then they die and are gone. A perenial will come back year after year .Perenials cost more but you don’t have to buy them again , annuals you have to plant each year. best of luck gardening

An annual will die off at the end of the season and not return the following spring. A perenial will die off at the end of the season and return the following spring. In my opinion, annuals are a waste of money and time in yard landscape (but are okay in planters and pots) perenials are a much better buy and you only have to plant them once.
Good Luck Gardening!

An annual dies the year it is planted so it must be replanted every year. A perinneal comes back year after year.
