It depends on where you live and what you want
nobody with enough knowledge could possibly tell you everything on here

first tell us more about you then we can help more

If you’re interested in reading THAT much, there are many books written on the subject. I recommend Barbara Damrosch’s “The Garden Primer: Second Edition.”

Here is a link to it on Amazon.ca that gives a description of the book:

Hope this helps.

This tip works anywhere….compost and miracle grow. It’s what kept me in the garden in pure hard clay that nothing but weeds grow in.

First decide what you are interested in. Then decide what areas of your yard you have to work with. Then find out what zone you are in. (Just call an area greenhouse, florist, landscaper and ask). When you have all of this information then ask a more specific question like: I would like to know what flowers will bloom all summer in a sunny spot by my back door in zone 7? I would also like tips to maintain this garden. If you are specific people will know what kind of information will be helpful to you and you will get help. There is just too many options to answer your question as it is. Good luck!

Gardening has a very wide explanation. Depends on what you grow; flower, herbs or vegetables. Where you want it to grow, in the garden or pots and containers.

Basically, understanding your garden will help you in deciding which plants will grow best. Factors such as soil type, germination period and shade when assessing the suitability for growing certain plants.

There are flowers easy to grow such as Sunflower, morning glory and petunia. For herbs, basil and mint are the easiest to grow but need plenty of sun and moist soil . These are some plants you can try to grow with need less attention.
